Recently featured on Good Day Sacramento on March 20th 2010. Warren Shafor, also known as Teknotik in the greater 916 area, was born in Georgia. He now calls home Sacramento CA Warren discovered EDM at the age of 15. He soon feel in love with the sounds of Carl Cox, Diesel boy, Keoki, & Bad Boy Bill, Doc Martin, just to name a few, within the next couple of years he found himself being inspired to become a DJ through some of the greater DJ’s he looked up to. He loved the gratification of searching for Vinyl in local record stores as well as paying for digital downloads. With his true love, Vinyl, he began practicing in his bedroom by 2002. Teknotik has a flourished love for all types of House; he has a soft spot for all EDM genres. During his live sets, you can hear the elements of Breaks and Techno. He has opened for local home town heroes from Sacramento as well as San Francisco, such as John Beaver. Teknotik has a passion for sharing good music with people; this is why he is a DJ. He is also an advocate for helping people understand EDM. He feels that without music, life would be quiet and he would probably go insane. DJ Teknotik is affiliated with National Entity as well as with Rogue Alliance & The Sunshine Krew. Looking into the future, Warren foresees that he will continue to spread the love of EDM throughout the world, or even just the Nor*Cal area, who knows where the Universe will take Warren.
